The 3rd World Forum on Natural Capital took place in Edinburgh on 27th and 28th November attended by 700 delegates from Business, Finance, Government and Civil Society. These two articles capture the key points. It happens bi-annually. At the first Conference protesters clamoured outside, against the “commodification of nature”. Six years later, it seems society has got the message that unless a greater equilibrium is found between the value of nature and economic decision making, we can kiss it goodbye. Still a long way to go though.
